GRANDMA/GRANDDAUGHTER'S WEEKENDS
I was really blessed to spend alot of time with Lyra and Emmie the last 2 weeks. Last week I traveled to Coldwater to visit. Lyra and I got to be together while Joey was in school. She loves books!
This weekend I got to keep Emmie Friday night. It was the very first time I got to keep a grandchild for a sleep over. Jared and Sara went to the temple in Louisville on Saturday. Saturday I took Emmie to the YMCA for her swim class. It was fun! And guess what? It was exactly the same as many years ago when I took Joe and Jennifer to Gym and Swim class there (they are now 36 and soon to be 39). The locker room was the same with the same old pipe showers...........

Lady Distance Classic 10K
I did a 10k race with Jessica this morning. I did the walk and Jessica did the run. A 10k is 6.2 miles and I finished in 1 hour and 27 minutes. That is a 14:04 pace and I was 47 out of 156 women who did the 10k walk. Jessica finished the run in 1 hour and 59 seconds.
This picture has a story... After I crossed the 6 mile marker I knew that I only had 0.2 to go. As I was walking I saw my daughter and grandson's cheering for me. Since I saw them I just figured that I had somehow passed the finish line so I stopped and started giving Easton a high five. I finally realized that Jessica was yelling at me to finish the race! I looked up and saw the finish line a few yards ahead. This picture was taken as I realized that I wasn't done and took off at a sprint to actually cross the finish line!
Check out my jacket! I won this for getting 3rd place in my age division.
Me and my grandsons. The best fashion accessories ever!!
Visiting Easton and Brady
