Dave shinning up the side of a clift
Dave and Rita Buckles are our trail riding friends. Dave does some of the GEO cach hide and seek stuff. He had the coordinates for one off of trail 9. He found it!!!!!!! In a Tupperware container. It contained a dollar, a knife, a notebook, a pen, etc. I guess you are suppose to write in the notebook and leave it there. We were quite excited!!! I shinnied up as well and took some pictures. My friend, Pam, and her grandson's found one in West Point cemetery not too long ago.
Trudi and Jigs
I rode Jennifer's horse, Trudi, this weekend. She did very well for not trail riding before. We had to have a couple discussions about going across water and downhill. Fortunately, I won!! She was doing quite well by yesterday afternoon. I still had to help her some but she is gaining confidence. Jennifer now owes "me" a training fee!?!?!
Memorial Day Weekend Annual Trail Ride
It was a great weekend as usual riding in Hoosier National Park. Great stress reliever!! We cooked our meals this time and it was quite yummy. I tried a new pasta salad with artichoke hearts and it was great. Last night I made a shrimp and crab boil with whole corn on the cob that was a recipe in my Country magazine. It was absolutely wonderful. I will make it the next time we have a family get together. To top things off I had made an apple pie and a rhubarb pie the morning we left. Definitely, a non diet weekend. I did get up and walk 2 miles though. It was so beautiful and so fragrant with all the blooming spring plants and trees.

MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF TODAY
Benson supervising the fetch the ball game!
Joey and Grandma enjoying the hot tub!!
Joey and I had fun! Boy oh boy, did it feel good on my sore back and chest. If I did not have to go to work I would have stayed a week for the hydrotherapy. Joey was very interested in all my bruises. He agreed to take care of me when I was old and to push me in the wheelchair. Whew!!!!!!! that was a load off my mind! I have such sweet grandkids. Just adore and love all of them!!
Today was a special day. There have been alot of firsts in our family, first baby, first missionary, first kidney transplant (:) ), first wedding, first grandchild, first college graduate, first teenage grandchild (with excellent driving skills), etc, etc. Now first Bishop! We are truly blessed and thank our Heavenly Father for all our blessings. We surely do not feel worthy but we do have a firm testimony of a loving Heather Father, his son Jesus Christ who made the ultimate sacrifice for us and for the young 14 year old that sought the truth and has blessed our lives by restoring the gospel for us Also, most importantly, we have a testimony of eternal families and that if we live worthy and serve the Lord with all our might and strength we will be together forever. What a blessing and goal to strive for!!

Indianapolis 500 Mini - Marathon 2009
Today, I completed a half marathon (13.1 miles) with Jessica, Sara, Rita, and Pam. Jessica and Sara ran the whole race and Rita, Pam, and I walked it. I was excited that I did it and even ran the last quarter of a mile to the finish line! I felt stronger than I expected. Thanks to everyone for doing it with me.
